Amy Butts, Chicago-based metalsmith and jewelry artist and founder of Ladysmith Jewelry Studio, gives voice to found objects by crafting them into jewelry that is wearable nostalgia. The materials she uses include chandelier crystals; autograph books, diaries and recipe books; vintage rosaries and flea market finds.

Ladysmith Jewelry will be featured in the Chicago is... RED HOT 2008 show on September 26th, as well as the September issue of Chicago Social (CS) and the November issue of Lucky Magazine. And don't miss Amy's "candy couture" creations at the MCA's Sweet CHIC benefit on October 11th.
